How to Apply?

Applications for the next edition are already open. The training is expected to commence in mid October 2026.

To apply for the Practical Training, please submit an application in the IRK system. If you need any help, you can contact us at stazeED-ckp@umw.edu.pl Applications will be considered on a rolling basis as they come. If you already know you would like to apply, please do so at your earliest convenience to allow plenty of time for the whole process. Some parts of the process will require your presence in Poland, e.g. to attend a medical appointment - please plan accordingly and arrive in advance, before your planned starting date.

Application Instructions - Step by Step 

1. Register in the application system IRK
   Please fill out your personal data and add a scan of your final diploma in the section "Personal forms" ->Education".
2. Sign up for practical training.
3. Enter Your Account ->Enrollment Applications. In the Additional Information section, you can find prompts to accept the rules and regulations of the training and add more documents: 
   • final iploma of graduation from the Wrocław Medical University (please use a certificate from the Dean's Office if you are still waiting for the diploma),
   • clear Salmonella and Shigella results,
   • proof of vaccination against Hepatitis B (HBV).
   • insurance
     • You must sign a civil liability (OC) and accident (NWW) insurance contract. This insurance also needs to cover post-exposure treatment for HIV, HBV, and HCV, in case of any potential exposure during training. This insurance includes reimbursement for the costs of preventive treatment in these cases.
4. Wait for feedback and results, which will be sent to you in the application system with an email notification.
5. If your application is complete, you will be asked to submit your original documents on paper and you will receive more details about payment, signing the contract and organising the health examination. You will receive a referral to see a doctor of occupational medicine licensed in Poland.
   Each successful participant will receive a referral for an occupational medicine examination. You must bring the following documents to the examination:
   • clear Salmonella and Shigella sample results,
   • proof of vaccination against Hepatitis B (HBV) and preferably also other vaccines like Covid 19,
   • documents related to your health conditions or any significant medical events from the past if applicable.
6. When requested, submit original paper documents or their certified copies to the Postgraduate Education Centre, either in person or by post:
   • graduation diploma
   • personal questionnaire
   • sanitary-epidemiological certificate and Salmonella and Shigella results,
   • proof of vaccination against Hepatitis B (HBV).

   • after successfully qualifiying for the training: a medical certificate from the occupational medicine appointment stating that there are no health contraindications to participation in the training,
   • after successfully qualifying for the training: a certificate of clear criminal record (KRK).
7. Pay the training fee to the designated bank account.
8. Sign an agreement with the Wroclaw Medical University and the university hospital.
9. Start your training.
